Frequently asked questions
Can it keep a closing bartender off the next morning's opening?
If you set a minimum rest between shifts, the draft follows it and flags anything that breaks it before you approve. The rule is yours to configure.
How are weekend nights split?
Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and closing shifts are rotated evenly across the people who can work them, within your rules. You see the draft and can change anything.
Our staff swap shifts all the time. Does that still work?
Yes. Instead of a group thread, the swap goes through Shabetzli: it checks that the replacement has the right role and isn't over their limits, confirms with both sides and updates the schedule. You're notified.
Do bartenders need to download an app?
No. Shabetzli works in WhatsApp. If they can reply to a message, they're set up.
Can staff clock out at 03:00 without a terminal?
Yes. They write "done" to Shabetzli when they finish, and the hours are recorded. If a closing shift has ended and someone hasn't clocked out, they get a reminder.
Is it only for bars inside restaurants?
No. It works for standalone bars, pubs and clubs too. If your bar is part of a restaurant, the restaurants page is worth a look as well.
