Shabetzli
Availability collection

Every Employee Asked. Every Answer Collected.

On the day you choose, Shabetzli messages each employee privately, understands what they write back and follows up with anyone who hasn't answered. You get the full picture of the week without chasing anyone.

Free text, abbreviations and typos are fine. Nobody fills in a form.

How It Works

  1. You pick the window

Choose when collection opens and when it closes, for example Sunday morning to Tuesday night.

  2. Everyone is asked privately

Each employee gets a message in their own chat and language: which shifts they can work, time off and preferences.

  3. Shabetzli follows up

Unclear answers get a short follow-up question. Anyone who hasn't replied gets a reminder before the deadline.

  4. You see the full picture

Availability, requests and who is still missing, per person, ready for the schedule to be built.

What's Included

Free-text understanding

Slang, typos, abbreviations and mixed Hebrew and English. Employees write the way they would write to a manager.

Automatic reminders

Reminders go to whoever hasn't answered, before the deadline you set.

Time off and special requests

Exams, reserve duty, vacations and one-off requests are captured alongside regular availability.

Preferences, not just constraints

Who prefers mornings, who wants more hours, who would rather avoid closing.

Clarifying questions

When an answer is ambiguous, Shabetzli asks before it assumes.

Private by default

Each employee answers one-on-one. Personal reasons are not posted to the staff group.

What You Get

Nobody chases replies

Reminders go out on their own, and the list of who is missing shrinks without you.

Fewer surprises after publishing

Constraints and requests are collected up front, before the schedule is built.

A clear record

What each person asked for is saved per week, so there is less room for "but I told you".

Easy for staff

Answering takes one message, in the chat they already use every day.

Frequently asked questions

When does availability collection happen?

On the day and time you choose, typically once a week. You also set the deadline, and Shabetzli sends reminders before it.

Do employees have to answer in a specific format?

No. They write in their own words and their own language. Shabetzli understands free text, slang, typos and mixed Hebrew and English, and asks a follow-up question when something is unclear.

What if an employee doesn't answer at all?

Shabetzli reminds them before the deadline. If someone still hasn't answered, you see it in the summary and decide how to handle it.

Can employees update their availability after sending it?

Yes. They message Shabetzli with the change and it is reflected in what you see. Once the schedule is published, changes go through swaps and cover instead.

Can the rest of the team see what each person wrote?

No. Each conversation is one-on-one. Managers see the requests and a summary, not the whole team.
